Ulucanlar Prison Museum

Ankara, Turkey
4 / 7
The first such museum in Turkey. The real prison after the restoration turned into a tourist object. The monument has been open to visitors since 2011. The building was erected in the 1920s, and it became a prison several years later. The correctional facility was liquidated after the riots. During its existence, Ulucanlanar was notorious for its torture and human rights abuses.
