The school and museum founded in 1879 by an organization of American artists. In 1893, the organization received a new building, which is still located. The museum exhibits a rich collection of impressionists (Monet, Renoir, Cezanne), as well as works by Picasso, Matisse, Warhol and many other worthy masters. Also at the Chicago Institute of Arts, you can see exhibitions of arms, photography, African art and Asian culture.
