Rockefeller Jr. The construction provided thousands of jobs, which at the time of global unemployment greatly helped the economy. The place is famous for the fact that inside the city the main Christmas tree is annually established, which is brought as a gift by another benefactor. There is also an ice rink in the center of the complex, operating from October to April.

Going in the winter season will allow you to ice skating the Rockefeller’s ring, just underneath their Christmas tree; this is a magical and remarcable experience, go for it!
They also have two very nice restaurants next to the ring where you can eat and enjoy the day or night watching the skaters.
This place has to be in your New York’s bucket list ?

On "The Top Of The Rock" you take a fast elevator ride up to the 67th floor and you exit the elevator to unforgettable and unmatched views of Manhattan. There's fairly good placement of signs so it.. Read more » should be easy to navigate between shopping and trains, but depending on which transfer you have, the walk between stations can be a bit far, so plan accordingly if you're on a tight schedule.
This is also the location for Top of the Rock, which is located somewhere in the middle along a long hallway of businesses.

From the standing in line to the very stern women yelling into a megaphone, visiting the tree was not at all what was expected. Very good experience when we went up to the observation deck. We had to go into the ground floor booking office and book a slot for a couple of hours .. Read more »later. Good system, as it lessens the queue when you go up. Once up, you get amazing views of the city. Better than the views from the Empire State building, not least because you get a view of that. You also get a better view of Central Park. Plenty of shops, restaurants and coffee places on the plaza level, and as we went over Christmas, the ice rink was on. If you can only fit in one trip up a skyscraper whilst in New York, this is definitely the better choice.
