Queluz National Palace

The palace was built in the XVII century in the Rococo style. He served as the summer residence of the Portuguese king Pedro II. Later, the building was used to accommodate dignitaries. Today, classical concerts are held on the territory of the palace. Particular attention is drawn to the luxurious Throne and Music Halls, as well as the magnificent and lavishly decorated royal chambers.

Not much to see in this run down palace. More security guards than visitors on a Saturday. It's out of the way from most attractions.


It is truly as good as or,in some ways, better than Versailles. Gardens are beautiful as well as the interior.


Very extensive grounds and palace. Could use a little more maintenance. Enjoyed the history and stories surrounding the residents.


Probably the most beautiful palace in Portugal (interiors). The garden is huge and also nice
