Located on the left bank of the Danube. Until the XVIII century, there were imperial hunting grounds, then at the will of the royal family was destroyed park - there were coffee shops, carousels, pastry shops. People were entertained by clowns and street artists. From the XIX century on the territory was held the Vienna Fair. The park has a Ferris wheel, recognized as one of the oldest in Europe. Prater is a favorite vacation spot for Viennese families with children.

Very interesting amusement park inside Vienna. Different from American theme parks where you pay to enter the park and then you can ride (almost) every attraction that is in the park, this one you pay as per ride. It is fairer on one hand, as you pay.. Read more »


This is a great amusement park with some interesting rides but some really bad rides, most rides cost 5 euros so prepare to bring a lot of money if you want to hang out for a full day.


Amazing place. A lot of attractions for kids and adults even very crazy ones. Great restaurants and bars. It's possible to buy combinations of tickets for attractions. I recommend to visit it there in the evening when all lights are on, it's wonderfu.. Read more »


It is one of the must sees of Vienna, since it is historical, but it is a bit overpriced in my personal opinion. The good thing is you can buy a "pass" with which you can use almost all popular rides. Children will love it, but it is not the biggest .. Read more »

It's not a visit to Vienna without visiting the Prater. It's an historical amusement park. You can simply walk around the park for free. The rides are pay as you go. It's a big area with lots of good rides and places to grab a bite to eat or drink. C.. Read more »


it will bring back the child in you. Me and my husband enjoyed the rides, mostly he did. Though some of the rides were closed..


it's a nice place to go, but it is just a fair ground if you look past the history of the place. the history was not especially obviously displayed or represented but it was a nice way to spend an afternoon and get out and about


It's so much fun! It has so many rides! I always enjoy it! Come here if you love amusement parks!!!
