Several years ago, MSG invested millions of dollars into "improvements." What did these amount to? Adding many concession stands on upper levels and thus drastically reducing areas for foot traffic, making every intermission or halftime into a nightmare; reallocating seats so once affordable areas are now off-limits; adding security staff who don't seem to do anything or know where anything is; and of course tacking on several more boxes for big spenders and corporations.
How much do they hate you? So much that if you use a Ticketmaster kiosk AT THE ARENA to buy tickets, only feet away from a box office window, they charge you a convenience fee.
Never doubt it: they hate you. MSG has no plans to improve anything that would actually help normal folks to enjoy a night out. Why would they? I can't say I blame them. But it breaks my heart to see what it's become.
