Krutitsky Patriarchal Compound

An architectural monument of the 17th century in the Tagansky district of the capital. Since 1991, it has been serving as the patriarchal compound. It also houses the Youth Department of the Russian Orthodox Church. The history of the place began in the 13th century. At first there was a monastery, and then the residence of the highest clergy. Krutitsky Compound is a place where you can imagine what Moscow looked like in past centuries.
