The museum is a whole network of galleries located throughout Georgia. The main branch is in Tbilisi. The museum was founded in 2004, its collections included the collections of the Museum of History of Tbilisi, the State Museum of Art of Georgia, the Dmanisi Museum-Reserve of History and Archeology, the Museum of Georgia named after S. Janashia and many others. An extensive exhibition covers the time period from the IV century BC until the 20th century.

Cheap activity - worth it if you take your time reading the signs. A great starting point for Georgian history!


What an amazing display of artifacts which tell the long and rich history of this beautiful country.

I loved the displays illustrating the techniques of metalworking. The exhibits were accompanied by videos showing the methods in action by modern metalsmiths


Very informative and useful and interesting museum about history of mankind and especially about Georgia. I recommend you to visit this wonderful museum.


A lot of ancient relics and demonstration how much this society was developed with amazing craftsmen and a huge and amazing collection of hand made relics in gold and silver and also amber. A good idea in one of the exhibitions about Georgia fauna . .. Read more »
