Fisherman's Bastion

Budapest, Hungary
5 / 5
The building is located in the old urban district of Var on Fortress Hill. Until 1905, a fishing market was located at this place. The construction of the bastion was planned to coincide with the celebration of the millennium of the Hungarian state in 1897, but the work was completed only after a few years. The Fisherman's Bastion is an architectural ensemble of white stone with seven towers that symbolize the seven Hungarian tribes.

Incredible views and architecture! You can enjoy a coffee and a chimney cake at the lookout. There is also a Starbucks nearby, but I wouldn’t recommend that as it’s so busy. Enjoy a tasty treat while you look at the view.

The most unique experience in Budapest. You can spend hours taking pictures here as it changes colour and mood. Tons of people though so it requires patience as a photographer and Instagram husband. We went here twice and it absolutely worth it.
