Huge museum with some amazing pieces, all beautifully presented. We went on a Wednesday afternoon in August and there were only a handful of other visitors! Only spoiled by the ridiculously expensive cafe!

The National Bavarian Museum has a wonderful selection of history to view including models of various towns and cities in Bavaria that they used maps. The museum has head sets available in English with iPods to highlight and learn about a selection .. Read more »
Many luxurious stuff, very impressive collection. There is a route you can follow to see it all in order but it is not very clearly indicated, so it can be a bit confusing when you get to a room with four different out ways to other different collect.. Read more »
Several key sections closed. No explanations in English and lots of ‘models’ of towns and villages. They only take CASH for tickets?!! Some interesting objects but not a must see.
